custom made seal, signature stamp Made in Japan

In a world where digitization is progressing, the meaning of daring to leave marks by using things is being questioned.

We, as metalworkers, are creating a system that allows marks to appear only when necessary to show one's identity.

Signs of the present, passed on to the future

The name MIRAIN ("Mirai" means “future”, "In" means “seal” in Japanese) originates from the idea of connecting modern technology and wish to the future.Future Seal was born from imagining entrusting this to cherished family members in the future.

The engraving emerges from the substantial 19mm metal surface

Iwai Press's strength lies in our clearance-filling technology.

Experience the world created by 0.002mm through MIRAIN.

We pursued ease of stamping and comfortable handling as a seal.

PRODUCTION PROCESS

MIRAIN In is a one-of-a-kind item produced only after receiving an order; mass production is not possible.

Each piece is meticulously crafted by hand, requiring considerable time and effort to achieve a polished finish. It embodies the collective expertise of Iwai Press Co., Ltd. (Japan).

Creating the Sketch

01

Our designers create a rough design.

Drafting Work

02

Based on the design, technical drawings are created and CAD data is generated.

Flattening the Metal Surface

03

To achieve hardness, warping and distortion in the hardened industrial stainless steel are flattened using grinding machines.

Cutting with a Wire Cutting Machine

04

Once the stainless steel is ready for processing, it is cut underwater using a fine 0.2mm brass wire.

Profile Grinding

05

After wire cutting, burrs of about 0.05mm remain. Each part is visually inspected by craftsmen and further polished using a profile grinder.

Blast Polishing

06

After profile grinding, diamond particle blasting is performed to remove metal particles and further polish the surface.

Assembling All Parts

07

All parts of the MIRAIN Seal are assembled by hand.

Finishing Grinding on Precision Form Grinding Machines

08

After assembly, the parts undergo final grinding using precision form grinding machines and the craftsman's skill until the boundaries between parts become invisible.
